Shopping:

Puerto Vallarta is great for shopping! From Mexican handicrafts to upscale designer items. Wander the streets and find the small hidden shops.

Shopping from the vendors on the beach, while basking in the sun, can also be fun. Be sure to start your bartering price low, about ½ of what they want.

Neighborhood Shopping:

Grocery: Rizzos
The largest store nearby. Easy walk, 4 blocks. Through park to Pino Suarez, to Aquiles Serdan. Serdan to Constitution. Store is right on the corner. Taxis are there if you need a ride home. There are also fresh seafood stands across the street. We haven’t ever bought anything there. There are many little stores around the area for a few items. There are larger grocery stores in town or toward the Marina: Lays, Gigante, Sam’s

Orange juice:

Across the street in front of Café Olla, Fresh OJ stand. Bring over the wine carafe or a pitcher to fill. We haven’t found OJ in stores. Tropicana is not as we know it at home. Fanta orange soda is even better than that….

Pastry:

Closer than Rizzos, the little store up left side of  Olas Altas, to just before Gomez. For the morning roll ( bread) for eggs or
sandwich.  Usually still warm. Take rolls out of cardboard    box. Most regular pastry not too good. Only buy for now, it doesn’t keep well.

Chicken- Take out: Chillies.

When you want to eat in. Walk up to order your take out roast chicken, salad, etc. to pick up later in the day. Up Olas Altas to Pulpito, turn R. go to end of block on L side.

Liquor:

First floor in this building and many stores in the area.

Wine:

Best selection seems up right side Olas Altas to R. Gomez. Turn R. Store is on R side, middle of block.

Pharmacy:

Super Farmacia  Through Park to L. Cardenas. Cardenas , 3 blocks to Insurgentes. You will it see on corner. Another smaller pharmacy is located near the hospital on Basillio Badillo at Insurgentes.

Money Exchange:

You don’t need to exchange, but  it is easier if you do. There is a bank downstairs. ATM’s, Cambios (money exchange booths) are everywhere.

Fresh Flowers:

Floreria Paraiso: #322 L. Cardenas
Floreria Orguidea: #369 Francisco Madero
Others in town and towards the Marina.
Floreria Iris: #126Venezueoa
Floreria Del Prado: Plaza Caracole 1H Y 6G
